Dr. Gheith’s perspective
Pain medicine is evolving rapidly. Neuromodulation systems are becoming more sophisticated, minimally invasive spine procedures continue to expand, and data analytics and artificial intelligence will increasingly help physicians understand which treatments work best for which patients.
The important message is that technology itself is not the treatment. Good outcomes still begin with an accurate diagnosis, careful patient selection, sound clinical judgment, and a physician who understands the individual patient. Technology is most powerful when it enhances those fundamentals rather than replacing them.
